A fresh wave of shock and outrage has swept across Nigeria after terrorists released a disturbing photo showing the abducted wife and daughter of slain Kaduna Anglican priest, Ven. Edwin Achi, with a gun pointed at them.
Ven. Achi, his wife Sarah, and their daughter were abducted from their residence in Chikun Local Government Area on October 28, 2025. The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N200 million, threatening to kill the hostages if payment was not made.
Tragically, before the ultimatum expired, the terrorists murdered the priest and later uploaded a photo of him and his wife on his own Facebook page — a move that sparked widespread condemnation and fear.
The nightmare deepened on Wednesday when the abductors released another image, this time showing Sarah Achi and her daughter at gunpoint.

A family member, Avril, confirmed the development on X while responding to journalist Rufai Oseni.
“Please keep pushing the news that Ven. Edwin Achi’s wife, Sarah Achi, is still in captivity. Their captors recently uploaded a picture of her and the daughter, with a gun pointed at them. Their demands are incoherent at this point,” he wrote.
He followed with another heartbreaking post alongside the distressing photo:
“This is not a country.”
The chilling visuals have renewed calls for urgent government intervention and intensified pressure on security agencies to rescue the victims before it is too late.
