Kwankwaso, the running mate of Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election, was accompanied by Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo during the visit.
The statement said the meeting provided an opportunity for warm exchanges between the two political figures but did not disclose details of their discussions.
The visit comes as political consultations and alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.
However, neither camp indicated that the meeting was linked to any political alliance or electoral strategy.
