The management of Kano Pillars FC has officially lifted the suspension of its technical adviser, Usman Abdallah.
Grassroots Parrot recalls that Abdallah signed a two-year contract, with an option for a third, with the Sai Masu Gida team.
The club’s Communications Directorate, led by media director Abubakar Isah Dandago, confirmed Abdallah’s reinstatement in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday.0.
“All issues have now been resolved. Our technical adviser, Usman Abdallah, has returned after the misunderstanding with the fans and will lead the team for the remainder of the season,” Dandago stated.
“Abdallah will now focus on training activities starting immediately and will lead Kano Pillars in the NPFL Matchday 32 fixture against Heartland this weekend,” he added.

Regarding his contract, the statement clarified that while Abdallah’s deal remains valid, the club is currently prioritizing the remaining matches of the season, with discussions on his contract to be addressed at the end of the 2024/2025 campaign.
Abdallah was suspended by Kano Pillars in February for nearly five weeks following the team’s poor performance and his confrontation with fans after the NPFL Matchday 22 goalless draw against Bayelsa United.
During his suspension, assistant coach Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro took charge of the team in both NPFL and Federation Cup matches.
Kano Pillars FC currently sits in eighth position on the NPFL table with 44 points from 31 games and will face Heartland on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in their Matchday 32 encounter.
