Security operatives in Kano State have intensified efforts to restore order, arresting several hoodlums who looted shops and offices under the pretext of participating in hardship protests.
The arrested individuals were involved in thefts of essential goods and property, exacerbating the already tense situation.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, released photos of the arrested suspects and the recovered items. “This is not a protest,” Kiyawa stated emphatically, underscoring the criminal nature of the actions taken by the hoodlums.

They made away with desktop computers, chairs, keyboards, and other valuable appliances, disrupting the planned opening of the facility meant to benefit the local population.
