In the mood of Sallah celebration in Kano State, the state governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has inaugurated the distribution of meat from 700 cows to 5,600 individuals across the state.
Grassroots Parrot gathered that the distribution was facilitated by a Germany based charitable organization, HASENE, in collaboration with the BARIS Foundation to mark Edil-Kabir Kurban.
Launching the symbolic distribution at Bayero University, Kano, Governor Yusuf expressed profound joy at the benevolent act, foreseeing the upliftment of spirits among the countless individuals in need.
A statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Bature, on Sunday, quoted the governor as charging the administrators and distributors of this initiative to uphold justice and maintain a devout reverence for Allah.

According to the statement, the move, is to ensure the fulfillment of their entrusted responsibilities and the realization of the Kurban project’s objectives within the state.
“Additionally, the Governor advocated for the extension of meat distribution to patients in hospital, inmates of care facilities, and destitute individuals roaming the streets.
“He reaffirmed the Kano State Government’s unwavering commitments to partnering with any organization willing to aid the state’s populace in various aspects of life.” The statement said.

Meanwhile, one of the facilitators from Germany, Muhammad Aydin, stated that their presence in Kano is to celebrate Edil-Kabir and share their sacrificial meat with the Muslim community to strengthen the bond of brotherhood.
The statement added that Aydin expressed gratitude for the gracious reception and warm hospitality extended to them by the Kano State Government and, by extension, the people of state.
