Governor Yusuf Visits 2 LGAs Over Bandit Attacks 750x536

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday embarked on an on-the-spot assessment tour of Tsanyawa and Shanono Local Government Areas following recent bandit attacks that left residents in fear and mourning.

The governor, who was accompanied by heads of security agencies and senior government officials, described the attacks as “unacceptable,” assuring locals that his administration would deploy every necessary measure to end the menace and restore peace.

During his address to troops stationed in the affected areas, Governor Yusuf reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing full support to security personnel.

He said the government would enhance welfare, strengthen logistics, and ensure the provision of all resources required to combat criminal elements terrorising rural communities.

“We will not relent in our efforts to protect the lives and property of our people. By the grace of God, this security challenge will soon be resolved and normalcy restored,” the governor assured.

Governor Yusuf also met with grieving families and offered condolences over the lives lost during the attacks. He expressed optimism that residents abducted by the attackers would soon regain their freedom, noting that coordinated efforts with security agencies were already underway.

He restated his administration’s commitment to working closely with all security outfits to ensure lasting peace, not only in the troubled communities but across the entire state.

Residents of Tsanyawa and Shanono, who have endured repeated bandit incursions in recent weeks, expressed hope that the governor’s visit would mark the beginning of stronger security interventions and a return to safety.
