The Youth Alliance for Northern Development (YAND) has congratulated the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Renewed Hope Ambassador, describing it as a visionary step that reflects the President’s commitment to national reorientation, political stabilization, and grassroots mobilization.

While celebrating the appointment, YAND Convener Seyi Olorunsola emphasized the importance of immediate and deliberate collaboration between Governor Uzodinma’s office and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Citizenship and Leadership, held by Hon. Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’oji. The group said such partnership is crucial for ensuring the ambassadorial role achieves its intended national impact.

Speaking on the strategic need for collaboration, YAND noted that Hon. Aminu Ja’oji has already demonstrated a strong commitment to cultivating civic responsibility among Nigerian youth, strengthening governance awareness, and promoting a renewed culture of citizenship.

His office has been actively engaging youth groups, community leaders, and civil society, laying a foundation for nationwide programmes aimed at fostering patriotism and bridging the communication gap between government and citizens.

“The mandate of the Renewed Hope Ambassador aligns perfectly with that of the SSA on Citizenship & Leadership,” YAND said. “Governor Uzodinma’s role in mobilisation, political education, and grassroots engagement must operate in tandem with Hon. Aminu Ja’oji’s efforts to build civic consciousness, shape national values, and help citizens understand government policies.”

YAND outlined several benefits of a structured collaboration between the two offices, including ensuring consistent messaging of the Renewed Hope agenda, amplifying ongoing nationwide citizenship initiatives, creating a unified mobilisation framework, reducing fragmentation, and strengthening public trust through coordinated government communication.

The group called for the immediate establishment of a joint working platform between Governor Uzodinma’s office and the SSA’s office to align programmes, outreach efforts, communications strategies, and community engagements.

Commending President Tinubu for the appointment, YAND described it as a demonstration of commitment to political stability, deeper democratic participation, and bringing governance closer to the people.

On behalf of YAND, Convener Seyi Olorunsola congratulated Governor Uzodinma once again and reiterated the call for strategic partnership with the SSA’s office, noting that the collaboration has the potential to embed the Renewed Hope agenda deeply in the hearts of Nigerians.
