The Arewa Youth Advancement Forum (AYAF) has urged the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, to forgive all his enemies in the spirit of Eid el-Kabir.

Bayoro, who insists that he is the authentic Emir of Kano, is in court challenging his dethronement by Gov. Abba Yusuf, who reinstated Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

Alhaji Nuhu Magaji, President, AYAF, made the appeal in a statement on Sunday in Abuja while felicitating with the ousted Emir on the occasion of Eid el-Kabir.

He commended Bayero’s commitment to the progress and development of the state, even in the face of adversity.

Magaji praised Bayero for his unwavering dedication to the peace and progress of Kano State, describing him as a symbol of stability.

“As the Muslim Ummah celebrates the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Arewa Youth Advancement Forum (AYAF) wishes to extend its warmest felicitations to His Highness, Emir Ado Bayero.

“In spite of the recent unfortunate events, we stand in solidarity with Bayero, a symbol of peace, progress, and stability. His wise leadership and vision have been a shining example to our generation,” he said.

He said that his dedication to the emirate and the state was unwavering, adding that his legacy would continue to inspire the people.

He said the people recognized Bayero’s efforts to promote unity, understanding, and progress in Kano, adding that his door had always been open to the people, offering guidance and support.

The group, however, urges Bayero to forgive those who have wronged him and continue to guide the people of Kano and all the Emirates with his wisdom.

“His leadership and counsel are now more crucial than ever, and we implore him to remain a beacon of hope and inspiration to our generation.

“We call on all Kano residents to remain peaceful and united, working together for the greater good of our state.

“Let us celebrate Eid-el Kabir with love, kindness, and compassion, emulating the virtues of Emir Bayero,”  he said. (NAN)
