Armed bandits have abducted seven students from their residences in the Low-Cost Area of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
The attack reportedly occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday when the assailants invaded the area and whisked the victims away to an unknown location.
According to the Zamfara State Police Command, one of the abducted students escaped from captivity and has since been reunited with authorities.

Police spokesperson, DSP Yazid Abubakar, said joint police tactical teams and military personnel under Operation Fansar Yamma were deployed to the area immediately after the incident was reported, but the attackers had already fled.
Security agencies have since intensified search-and-rescue operations to secure the release of the remaining students and apprehend those responsible. The police have also appealed to residents to provide credible information that could aid ongoing efforts.
