APC Chieftain Hails Kano Chapter’s Loyalty, Labels NNPP As “Political Scam” Amid Kwankwaso’s Exit Moves

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Seyi Olorunsola, has lauded the Kano State chapter of the party for what he described as its steadfast loyalty and resilience in the face of ongoing political instability in the state.

In a strongly worded statement made available to Grassroots Parrots on Thursday, Olorunsola praised the APC’s grassroots efforts to reclaim Kano from what he termed the “failed governance” of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), asserting that the people of the state were growing increasingly disillusioned with the current administration.

He commended the leadership of APC National Chairman and former Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for revitalizing the party’s influence not only in Kano but across Nigeria.

“The resilience of Kano APC is commendable,” Olorunsola said. “Dr. Ganduje’s leadership has brought a renewed sense of direction and strength to the party. His experience and deep political insight have solidified our presence nationally.”

Olorunsola also extended high praise to Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, referring to him as the “gentle giant” of Kano politics. He highlighted Senator Barau’s humility, strategic leadership, and ability to foster unity across the 44 local government areas of the state.

“Senator Barau has remained a pillar of support for the party,” he said. “His doggedness and administrative prowess have reinforced APC’s dominance in Kano North, while also expanding our reach in Kano Central and Kano South.”

The APC stalwart further acknowledged Senator Barau’s foundational role in building the party’s structure in the state, noting that his influence remains strong at the grassroots level despite his current national position.

Olorunsola as well commended the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, for confronting what he described as the NNPP’s “cheap propaganda” and working to shield Kano people from misinformation.

“The trio of Ganduje, Barau, and Ata have successfully exposed the failures of the NNPP-led administration in Kano,” he asserted. “Their leadership has stripped the NNPP of its deceptive narratives, leaving them scrambling.”

Echoing recent sentiments expressed by Dr. Ganduje, Olorunsola characterized the NNPP as a political outfit that has lost its relevance both in Kano and across the country.

“NNPP is nothing more than a political scam—Kwankwaso’s project of manipulation, now fully exposed,” he declared. “The people of Kano have seen the light and are rallying behind the APC once again.”

He accused NNPP leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of being politically unsettled and allegedly plotting a return to the APC after failed attempts to hijack and destabilize previous platforms such as the PDP and now NNPP.

“Unfortunately for them, the APC has moved on,” Olorunsola said. “Ours is a progressive party filled with visionary minds, united under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We have no space for bad energy.”

He concluded by expressing confidence in the APC’s readiness to take back Kano in the 2027 general elections and reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Tinubu’s administration.

“Kano APC is united, determined, and ready. We have full confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, and by the grace of God, victory is certain come 2027.”

Olorunsola also extended his appreciation to Dr. Ganduje, Senator Barau, Minister Ata, Kano APC Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, and party members across the 44 LGAs for their continued dedication to the party’s vision and ideals.
