I am Not Accepting Condolences, My Father Was Occultic- Kemi Olunloyo

Kemi Olunloyo, daughter of the late former Oyo State Governor, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, has publicly refused condolences following her father’s death, citing deep-rooted personal and family grievances, Grassroots Parrot reports.

Kemi, a controversial social media personality, made her stance known on Facebook and TikTok on Wednesday, days after her father passed away on Sunday, April 6.

“I am NOT part of the Olunloyo family anymore, and I told you that in 2024, I will never return to Nigeria even if my parents die,” she posted, making it clear that she would not be mourning alongside the rest of the family.

In a series of video statements, Kemi accused her late father of fostering family dysfunction and emotional trauma during her childhood.

“My father, Victor Omololu Olunloyo, is two different people. He was one person to the world; he was another person to the family,” she stated. “My father destroyed our family unit; my father tortured us as kids. He tortured us emotionally and physically.”

Despite expressing that she had forgiven him, Kemi emphasized that her forgiveness did not equate to reconciliation. “I have forgiven my dad for everything he did… but you don’t know what’s going on in my family, and I don’t know what’s going on in your family.”

Kemi, who has long been outspoken on social issues, claimed her father presented her as his “favorite daughter” to the public while allegedly using her for personal gains. “He took advantage of my own positive energies,” she said.

She further accused Dr. Olunloyo of heavy involvement in occult practices, saying, “My father was into ‘juju’ heavily. My father was into occult practices.” She also noted that after she publicly confronted him on his 80th birthday, he turned to religion and became “born again” under Pastor E.A. Adeboye.

Much of Kemi’s ire was also directed at her stepmother, Aderonke (née Ronke Sonaike), whom she accused of disrupting the family. She claimed the family’s troubles escalated after Ronke’s entry and subsequent pregnancy, which deeply affected her mother.

According to Kemi, the situation led to episodes of spiritual tension and even alleged attempts of poisoning. “Ronke said it’s my mom that put it there,” she said, referring to an incident involving a miniature coffin allegedly found under Ronke’s son’s bed.

She concluded by revealing that her father became isolated from much of the family in his final years following a stroke in 2021. “Towards the end of Daddy’s life, nobody had access to him… because Ronke did not give anybody access,” she said, quoting her older sister.
