Sacked SSG To Gov. Abba Vows To Expose Betrayals In Kano Politics

The recently sacked Secretary to the Kano State Government (SSG), Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, has broken his silence after his removal by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

In a viral video circulating on Thursday, Bichi hinted at an impending revelation about betrayal and deceit within the state’s political circles.

Bichi, addressing his followers, said, “I am done with work in good faith; now it’s not the time to talk. There is a lot to say.

There are many things written, in audio and in video. God crossed our path with people that are not trustworthy.

Time will come that we will bring things out for people to hear and understand who they are. They are not to be trusted; they don’t know anything but deceit and betrayal.”

The former SSG’s remarks come after weeks of silence following his dismissal, alongside the Chief of Staff and five commissioners, by Governor Yusuf.

While some of the sacked officials, such as Ladidi Garko and Shehu Wada Sagagi, were reassigned to other roles, Bichi has remained out of the political scene until now.

According to reports by Daily Trust, Bichi was accused of leading the “Abba Tsaya da Kafarka” movement, which sought to establish Governor Yusuf’s independence from his political mentor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

This allegation has further fueled speculations about a rift within the Kwankwasiyya movement, where Bichi was once a prominent figure.

Bichi’s contributions during the 2023 general elections were pivotal in securing Yusuf’s victory as governor, earning him significant influence within the administration. However, his removal has sparked rumors of internal discord in Kano’s political landscape.

“I thank the people of Bichi,” he added. “You will hear from us in a short while because what we want is to help people.”

Observers are now waiting to see what “bomb” Bichi intends to drop and how it might impact the fragile alliances within Kano’s political arena.
