TINUBU SIGNS
President Bola Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has announced the division of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, Kaduna State, into six campuses.

This significant development was disclosed by the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday via their official X account.

“President Bola Tinubu has decided to split the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria–Kaduna State, into six campuses to ensure efficiency, national coverage, and smooth operations,” the statement read.

The APC further revealed that the six campuses will be distributed across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones, underscoring the administration’s commitment to equitable development and inclusivity.

According to the announcement, the locations for the campuses include: Akure (Southwest), Osubi (South-South), Ebonyi (Southeast), Ilorin (North Central, Yola (Northeast) and Zaria (Northwest)

The decision reflects the administration’s vision to decentralize the operations of the NCAT, which has long been headquartered solely in Zaria.

By situating campuses in each geopolitical zone, the government aims to provide more accessible aviation training opportunities for Nigerians, foster regional development, and address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the aviation sector.

Stakeholders in the aviation industry have lauded the initiative, expressing optimism that the new campuses will enhance the institution’s capacity to deliver world-class aviation training.

The development aligns with President Tinubu’s broader agenda of fostering economic growth and creating job opportunities across various sectors in Nigeria.

As the project progresses, further details regarding the timeline and operational framework for the new campuses are expected to be unveiled.
