As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a non-governmental organization, El’s Empowerment Foundation, has distributed food items worth millions of naira to students of special education in Kano State, Nigeria.

Grassroots Parrot reports that the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is commemorated every 3rd of December to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development.

With the 2024 theme, Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future, El’s Empowerment Foundation found it worthy to cheer the PWD students with a lot of goodies to make the day memorable for them.

Ambassador Adesuwa Udo, President of El’s Empowerment Foundation, said the humanitarian gesture was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the students to ensure disability-inclusive and sustainable peace and development for all.
