Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has officially presented the Staff of Office to Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, the reinstated Emir of Gaya.
The Emir, now holding second-class status, was reappointed after accepting his dethronement following the repeal of the Kano Emirates law by the State House of Assembly.
The reappointment of Emir Abdulkadir follows the recent reinstatement of the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
During the presentation ceremony, Governor Yusuf urged the Emir to lead with integrity and serve as a true representative of his people.
