President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to eradicating terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping in Nigeria, pledging that these challenges will soon become issues of the past.
Represented by Professor Abdulkarim Mohammed, Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State, Tinubu made the statement during the 9th convocation ceremony of the Federal University, Dutsinma, in Katsina State.
Highlighting that national security is a collective effort, Tinubu urged Nigerians to assist security forces by reporting suspicious activities. “Governance is not about the presidency or those in places of leadership but about Nigeria and Nigerians, who will make the country better,” he stated.

President Tinubu also encouraged the nation’s youth to take advantage of a loan scheme supporting educational and entrepreneurial aspirations, which has already disbursed over N70 billion.
He emphasized that this initiative is part of his government’s drive to empower young Nigerians and strengthen the nation’s economic base.
Professor Armaya’u Bichi, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Dutsinma, addressed the ongoing security issues affecting the institution, which remains a pressing concern.

A total of 297 students graduated at the ceremony, including 18 Ph.D. holders, 226 Master’s degree recipients, and 53 with professional diplomas.
Representing Katsina Governor Dikko Umar Radda, Secretary to the State Government Abdullahi Garba Faskari outlined Katsina State’s ongoing investments in education, aimed at improving access to quality learning and supporting the state’s youth.
