The Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has intercepted and handed over three vehicles loaded with bottles of beer to the Kano State Hisbah Board for destruction, reaffirming the state’s strict stance on prohibited substances.
In a statement released on Thursday, December 11, KAROTA spokesperson Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada confirmed that operatives of the agency seized the vehicles during a late-night patrol across major routes in the Kano metropolis.
“The vehicles were seized with 410 cartons of beer during a night patrol by KAROTA operatives on major roads in Kano,” Sharada revealed.
