The Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic Iree MAOS had declared three days mourning in honour of its late former National Secretary, Mr Segun Oguntuase.
Oguntuase passed on Thursday March 21, 2024 in the United Kingdom (UK) after a brief illness.
MAOS National President, Adekunle Sikiru made the three days mourning declaration in a statement issued on Sunday.
Sikiru described Oguntuase’s demise as a great loss not only to his family and friends, but to the entire MAOS families.
According to the statement, the Association will be mourning the departed soul for the next three days, starting from today (Sunday) till Tuesday evening.

During the grieving, the statement instructed that “all online activities on the national platforms “shall be suspended till Tuesday evening”.
The MAOS National President described the death of Oguntuase as a great shock, noting that the late National Secretary until his death was active member of Lagos, Ekiti and Diaspora Chapters.
The statement read in part “Segun Oguntuase was the second National General Secretary from 2015 to 2018, he was a very supportive member to all National Programmes and activities and he recently assisted another MAOS Member who just relocated to the UK”.
Grassroots Parrot reports that the late Segun Oguntuase was survived by wife, children, mother and other relatives.
MAOS’ statement added that the burial arrangements of its beloved member will be communicated in due course.
