How Father, Son, Two Others Trapped Inside Toilet Pit In Search Of Missing Phone In Kano

The Kano State Fire Service on Sunday confirmed the rescue of four persons who fell inside a toilet pit in the course of searching for a missing phone.

The incident occurred at Yar Gwanda Village in Tsanyawa local government area of Kano State around 11.15am.

Grassroots Parrots gathers that a 60 year old Mallam Danjuma popularly known as Black was the first person to get trapped inside the toilet pit when he was searching for his phone which fell inside the pit.

A statement issued by the service spokesperson, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi and made available to newsmen late Sunday, said Danjuma’s son, Ibrahim (35) also got trapped inside the pit while attempting to rescue his father.

The statement noted further that another one Aminu T Gaye (35) also attempted to rescue Danjuma and his son, but to no avail. In the process, Gaye also got trapped.

Another resident, Abbas Alasan (28) also jumped inside the pit in vain as he also got trapped before the arrival of officials of the State Fire Service, according to the statement.

Saminu, however confirmed the rescue of the victims inside the ill-fated toilet, stating that “with effort of our men we brought out the last person alive, and first three people were rescued unconscious.”

According to him, the victims were handed over to the Divisional Police Officer DPO of Tsanyawa Police Division, S.P Iro Lado, who eventually rushed them to Bichi Special Hospital for medical attention.
