Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has extended warm greetings to the Christian community in Kano State and across Nigeria as they celebrate Christmas 2025, describing the season as a time of love, sacrifice, unity, and peaceful coexistence.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, on Thursday, the governor said Christmas presents an important opportunity for reflection on enduring values such as peace, tolerance, compassion, and selfless service to humanity.
Governor Yusuf urged Christians in the state to use the festive period to promote peace, unity, and collective progress, stressing that harmonious coexistence remains vital to the development of Kano State and the nation at large.

He called on all residents, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, to continue living together in mutual respect and understanding, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to protecting the rights of all citizens.
According to him, the government remains focused on ensuring an atmosphere where everyone can freely practice their faith in peace and without fear.
The governor also advised motorists to strictly observe traffic rules during the Christmas and New Year festivities to ensure safety on the roads.
Governor Yusuf wished Christians a joyful Christmas celebration and prayed for a peaceful and prosperous New Year for all residents of Kano State.
