Bandits Attack Kaduna Community, Claim Six Lives

Bandits have unleashed a fresh attack on Ambe community in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the tragic loss of six people on Sunday night.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, Mansir Hassan, informed news men that one suspect has been apprehended in connection with the attack.

He said, upon receiving a distress call, police operatives from the Sanga Divisional Police Station, alongside troops of Operation Safe Haven, swiftly responded to the scene.

A confrontation ensued between the security forces and the bandits, leading to the arrest of one assailant while the others fled into the forest with gunshot wounds.

In a statement, Daniel Amos, the representative of Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, lamented the loss of six lives and reported that eight individuals sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention at the hospital.

He condemned the attack, emphasizing its intent to disrupt peace and security in the constituency.

Amos urged residents of Sanga Local Government Area to remain calm and peaceful amidst the prevailing insecurity, advocating for unity and cooperation in addressing the challenges faced.

He called upon security agencies to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators and ensure that justice is served.

Assuring constituents of his commitment to promoting development and ensuring their safety, Amos extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with the affected community and the Kaduna State government.

He also offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured victims.
