The Ekiti State Magistrate Court has ordered the remand of a middle-aged man, identified simply as Ibrahim, for allegedly killing his daughter’s boyfriend in Ado Ekiti.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred when the deceased, whose name has not yet been released, visited his girlfriend at her father’s residence near the popular Corpers’ Lodge along New Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti.
According to eyewitness accounts, the girl’s father, who strongly opposed the relationship, allegedly mobilized his siblings to assault the young boy. The victim was said to have sustained severe injuries during the attack and later died from excessive bleeding.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ekiti State, Sunday Abutu, disclosed that the suspect and two other accomplices have been arraigned in court and subsequently remanded in prison custody.
“The girl’s father and two other suspects have been arraigned and remanded in prison,” Abutu stated.
The case has sparked outrage among residents, with many calling for justice for the deceased. The court is expected to continue hearing the matter in the coming weeks.
