Kwankwaso Criticizes Tinubu Over Palliatives, Security In Kano

KWANKWASO TINUBU

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has launched a sharp critique of the Federal Government’s handling of rice palliative distribution and security management in Kano State.

In a statement released on social media, the former governor expressed deep frustration over Kano’s exclusion from the distribution of palliative rice, which he claimed was instead allocated to members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kwankwaso condemned the exclusion as a blatant act of partisanship and a serious violation of democratic principles. He argued that the decision to withhold palliative rice from Kano, a state with significant needs, was unjust and politically motivated, undermining the rights of the citizens.

Kwankwaso also highlighted troubling developments in the state’s security apparatus. He noted that the leadership of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kano had seen three different directors within just two weeks, a situation he described as destabilizing.

Kwankwaso warned that these frequent changes in security leadership were adversely affecting the state’s overall security and could lead to increased instability if not addressed. He called on President Tinubu to take urgent action to resolve these issues and prevent further erosion of democratic values in Kano and across the nation.

As of now, the Federal Government has not responded to Kwankwaso’s allegations. The senator’s remarks have sparked widespread debate, with many observers expressing concern over the implications of these developments for both Kano’s security and the broader political landscape in Nigeria.
