Bayer Leverkusen and Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Victor Boniface are reportedly involved in a car accident.
As monitored by Grassroots Parrot, the striker posted a video on Sunday on social media, where the 23-year-old forward displayed his arm, which appeared to be bleeding, before showing his black sports car, which had been severely damaged in the crash.
German news outlet Bild reported that Boniface is “doing well considering the circumstances and is only slightly injured,” citing a source close to the player.
Boniface himself took to social media, writing, “God is the greatest” and “God says my time hasn’t come,” expressing gratitude for his survival.

Bayer Leverkusen has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
Boniface joined Leverkusen last season and has been instrumental in the club’s recent success, contributing to their unbeaten run and historic Bundesliga title. He has also earned his debut call-up to the Nigerian national team.
This season, the striker has scored seven goals in 10 matches across all competitions.
In Leverkusen’s latest match on Saturday, Boniface missed a penalty but made up for it by scoring the winning goal in their 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.
The club is set to play French side Brest in the Champions League on Wednesday.
