The Kano state Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo Garba has confirmed the arrest of some suspects over the killing of two people after the football match between Kano Pillars and Katsina United at Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.
A group of violent youths numbering over 100 invaded Zango, Kofar Mata, Yakasai and Rimi communities during a clash with a rival gang of hoodlums on Sunday where two people were reportedly killed.
Eventually, the hoodlums were looting shops and residential houses as residents and business owners within the communities are currently counting their losses.

However, the Police Commissioner, Garba who confirmed the arrests of some suspects on Monday night, vowed to arrest more of them and promised to prosecute them immediately.
“As I speak to you, we are writing a report on it. Many people have been arrested; and we are moving all out to ensure the arrest and prosecution of all the hoodlums involved,” He said.
