The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three suspected kidnappers linked to the abduction of Alhaji Ahmadu in Malabu, Fufore Local Government Area.
Grassroots Parrot reports that the suspects were apprehended during a coordinated, intelligence-led raid conducted in collaboration with local security stakeholders.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Suleiman Nguroje, in a Tuesday statement, the operation followed the January 30, 2026, kidnapping of Alhaji Ahmadu.
Acting on directives from Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, a joint team of police operatives and members of Miyetti-Allah raided a suspected hideout in Jera village, Malabu District.
The suspects have been identified as Lawali Haruna, 45; Yahaya Ibrahim, 25; and Da’u Alhaji Ahmadu, 28 — all residents of Jera. Shockingly, one of the suspects is the biological son of the kidnapped victim. All three reportedly confessed to their involvement.

Police confirmed that efforts are ongoing to rescue the victim safely and apprehend other members of the criminal syndicate. The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
The Commissioner of Police praised the collaboration between law enforcement and local security outfits, reaffirming the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property. Residents were urged to provide timely and credible information to support ongoing operations.
“Further developments will be communicated as investigation progresses,” the statement concluded.
