The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has cautioned the public against fraudulent recruitment advertisements circulating online, stating that it is not currently hiring.
In a statement released on its official X handle on Friday, the company warned job seekers to be wary of deceptive schemes, emphasizing that all legitimate job openings would only be announced through its official platforms.
“The general public is hereby informed that NNPC Limited is not recruiting. Official recruitment announcements will only be made through our website and verified social media platforms,” the statement read.

NNPCL reaffirmed that its recruitment process is transparent, merit-based, and does not require any external assistance.
The company urged Nigerians to disregard unofficial job postings falsely attributed to NNPC Ltd., as they could be attempts to defraud unsuspecting applicants.
The management assured the public of its commitment to maintaining the integrity of its hiring process and promised to provide official notifications when recruitment begins.
“We advise the public to always verify information directly from our official platforms to avoid being misled by scammers,” NNPC Ltd. stated, urging individuals to report suspicious job advertisements linked to the company to relevant authorities.
