A bricklayer identified as Bayo Jeje has reportedly fled his home after his wife, Iyanu Ehuwa Jeje, gave birth to a set of triplets at a private hospital in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Jeje allegedly absconded on Tuesday upon receiving the news from midwives and nurses at Aribo Hospital that his wife had successfully delivered three baby boys.
His sudden disappearance has caused distress and confusion within the hospital premises, as the health workers raised the alarm about his whereabouts.
According to sources at the hospital, the father of the newborns abandoned his wife and children without providing any financial support.

A hospital staff member disclosed that Jeje had been expressing concerns about his financial struggles prior to the delivery. Instead of celebrating the joyous occasion, he reportedly chose to flee, leaving his family stranded.
Meanwhile, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has stepped in to offer assistance.
A hospital official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed that the senator instructed one of his aides, Juwon Ade-Aworetan, the coordinator of the Ondo South Advancement and Welfare Consultative Association (OSAWA), to provide immediate financial support to the mother and her newborns.
The incident has sparked discussions on the economic hardships faced by many Nigerian families, particularly those in low-income professions.
The search for Bayo Jeje continues as family members and concerned individuals hope for his return to take responsibility for his wife and children.
