Former presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and ex-Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, recently visited Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, former Kaduna State Governor, at his residence in Abuja.
This visit comes on the heels of El-Rufai’s recent meeting with former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.
El-Rufai, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been engaging with opposition figures, raising speculations about potential political realignments.

Kwankwaso’s visit is seen as part of a broader strategy to build alliances and challenge the incumbent president, Bola Tinubu, amidst rising concerns over Nigeria’s economic and socio-political situation.
Political analysts suggest that these consultations and realignments could indicate a shift in the political landscape as key stakeholders work to address the country’s pressing issues.
It is reported that El-Rufai visited the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Abuja in March, further fueling speculations about his political maneuvers.

These developments suggest an evolving political strategy as leaders from different parties seek to form alliances and address Nigeria’s current challenges.
