The Kano State Government, in coordination with security agencies, has announced restrictions on movement across the state from 12:00 midnight to 6:00 PM on Saturday.
This decision affects both individuals and vehicles and applies across the 44 local government areas (LGAs) and 484 electoral wards in the state.
The restrictions come as Kano prepares for its local government elections, a significant event that determines leadership at the grassroots level.
Officials explained that the measure is designed to maintain security, prevent any potential disruptions, and promote a conducive atmosphere for a fair and credible voting process.
