Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared Monday, July 8, 2024 as public holiday in commemoration of the beginning of new Islamic calendar 1446 AH.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by Baba Halilu Dantiye, the state commissioner for information, and made available to Grassroots Parrot on Friday.
He also enjoined the people to utilize the holiday to reflect on the previous year and commit themselves in mutually beneficial activities that will bring soccur to the people in this difficult and trying times.
The statement assured that the government will continue to initiate policies and programmes that will empower people to be self dependents.
The governor urged Muslim Ummah to intensifies prayers for continue peace and progress in the State.
He expressed optimism with prayers support of people, his administration will turn around the fortunes of the state and return back to the most economically prosperous among it’s pears in the nation.
