The Kano State Government has announced September 7 and 8, 2025, as official resumption dates for primary and post-primary schools across the state for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru. According to the announcement, all boarding schools are expected to reopen on Sunday, September 7, while day schools will resume the following day, Monday, September 8.

The ministry urged parents and guardians to ensure their children return to school promptly, warning that students who fail to comply with the schedule would face disciplinary action.
