Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano has dismissed Shehu Sagagi as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry with immediate effect.
The development was announced in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, who said Sagagi has been directed to hand over to the Director of Commerce pending further instructions.

The governor thanked the former commissioner for his service, acknowledging his contributions to the state’s development, particularly in politics, religion, and support for small and medium-scale enterprises.
Yusuf also wished him well in his future pursuits, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to efficient service delivery and ongoing reforms aimed at sustainable development in Kano State.
