Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has appointed Dr. Suleiman Wali Sani as the new Chief of Staff to the Government House, marking the reinstatement of an office that had been scrapped since December 2024.

Grassroots Parrot reports that the announcement was made on Thursday in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Dr. Sani, a retired Permanent Secretary and veteran medical practitioner, brings over four decades of public service experience to the position. Prior to his latest appointment, he served as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Civil Service Matters.

An alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Dr. Sani holds an MBBS degree and has undergone advanced leadership training at Bayero University, Kano, and the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.
