The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ijanikin Police Station in Lagos, CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, has passed away after collapsing in his office on Thursday night.
According to reports, the senior police officer slumped at the station and, despite efforts to rush him to a hospital, he was declared dead before receiving medical attention.
The sudden death of CSP Olugbenga has plunged officers of the Ijanikin Police Division into mourning. Speaking under anonymity, one of the officers confirmed that his body has been transferred to a mortuary.

“He slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. But sadly, we lost him,” the officer said.
As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. The cause of his death remains unclear.
