An official car of Arewa Radio has been damaged by #EndBadGovernance protesters on Thursday at the entrance of the Kano State government house.

Rear glass of the branded car was destroyed by the angry protesters.

Trouble started when some of the protesters were vandalizing some government properties outside the government house, an action that met police resistance.

The policemen fired teargas to dispatch the demonstrators, who, in return, started throwing big stones and sticks at random at any vehicle in sight.

The Arewa Radio news team, comprising two reporters and a driver of the damaged vehicle, narrowly escaped attack and left the scene unhurt.

Meanwhile, some suspected hoodlums at Sadaraki Super Market, situated opposite the Kano Zoological Garden, attempted to break into a shopping complex in the area and to apparently loot some goods.

Though the thugs threw stones at the glass of the shopping complex, they could not break in.

A police officer, who spoke to our correspondent at the scene, said a joint task force quickly intervened and dispersed the crowd.

The officer, who showed our correspondent a knife cut in his hand, confirmed that some of the thugs were arrested.

However, other routine activities were grounded in Kano on Thursday as many residents remain indoors.

Most of the busy roads in the city were empty with less vehicular movement and there are no tricycles for commercial operations.

While the hunger protests were ongoing, other set of anti-protest demonstrator surfaced around the Tarauni local government area of the state, carrying placards with various inscriptions in support of the government.

The well-coordinated group of anti-protesters with a musical band was seen with branded shirts and caps singing in support of the present administration.
