Court Orders Police To Evict Deposed Kano Emir From Mini Palace

Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu of Kano State High Court has ordered Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the dethroned Emir of Kano to stop parading himself as emir.

The judge, who gave the order on Monday, also instructed the commissioner of police in Kano to evict  the ousted Emir from the mini place (Gidan Nasarawa).

The court, also retrained Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa and  Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya from parading themselves as emirs of Bichi, Gaya Rano and Karaye respectively.

The court order is effective until 11th June 2024 when the substantive motion will be heard.

The plaintiffs are the Attorney General of Kano State, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, and the Kano State House of Assembly.

Grassroots Parrot recalled that a Federal High Court ruling on Thursday which restrained the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sunusi II as Emir of Kano and suspended the law establishing the dissolved five emirates in the state.
