The statement titled “Nationwide Protest: Call for Peace and Calm as Normal Academic Activities Continue in BUK,”  however, cautioned the university community against being exposed to any potential danger.

The statement reads, “Following the planned nationwide protest set to commence on Thursday, August 1, 2024, the management of Bayero University, Kano, wishes to inform members of the university community that normal academic and administrative activities will continue.
