The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the last governorship election in Imo State, Samuel Anyawu.
The apex court dismissed the appeal against Governor Hope Odidika Uzodinma of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
In a unanimous judgment, a five-member panel of the court held that the appeal was lack in merit.
Justice Mohammed Baba Idris, in the lead judgment, resolved all the issues raised for determination in the appeal against the appellants.

He proceeded to affirm the judgment of the Court of Appeal, which upheld the decision of the election tribunal, dismissing the appellants’ petition.
