The Kano State Polytechnic located at Manta Fada, close to the state road, is gutted by fire.
Detail of the fire outbreak is sketchy as of the time of filling out this report on Tuesday morning.
However, a source, who is not authorized to speak on the incident informed Grassroots Parrot that the fire at the School of Technology engulfed the entire Arts and Industrial Department of the polytechnic.

When contacted on the telephone, the Kano State Fire Service, through its spokesperson, Saminu Yusif, confirmed the fire outbreak to our correspondent this morning.
Yusif said there was a fire outbreak at the polytechnic close to the state road, but he has no details about the incident.
He, however, promised to provide more updates in due course.
