Ganduje Ward Exco, Dawakin Tofa local government area of Kano state, has issued a stern warning against impersonators falsely claiming affiliation with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement signed by Chairman Ahmed Muhammed Ganduje and Secretary Usaini Jibrin, the executive members of the ward denounced recent attempts to suspend Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from the party by individuals purportedly representing the APC.

The statement clarified that no official election for new leadership within the party had occurred at either the state or national level.

The Ganduje ward executive members reaffirmed their status as the authentic leadership of the ward, emphasizing that no changes had taken place within their ranks.

The press release further highlighted discrepancies in the documents used by the group claiming to represent the APC.

The use of a fake or uncertified letterhead, along with the inclusion of non-existent party executives, raised doubts about the legitimacy of their actions.

Alarmingly, it was revealed that the leader of the group announcing the purported suspension is a member of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) who previously contested and lost the councillorship election in Ganduje ward.

This revelation casts further doubt on the motives behind the impersonation attempt.

The executive members however, called upon the national leadership of the APC and law enforcement agencies to take swift action against the impostors.

They also called for the arrest and prosecution of the individuals involved for impersonation and for their calculated efforts to sow discord within the party.

The statement urged the party members to remain vigilant and to disregard any propaganda aimed at destabilizing the APC.

Chairman Ahmed Muhammed Ganduje and Secretary Usaini Jibrin reiterated their call for decisive action against the impostors, underscoring the importance of maintaining unity and cohesion within the APC.

Grassroots Parrot earlier reported the crisis rocking the party in Kano State which took a new twist when new executives emerged from Ganduje’s ward and issued fresh suspension to the acting National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

Last week, Ganduje was suspended by another faction of the party executives in his ward, prompting litigation from both parties.
