The All Progressives Congress APC has set a steep financial bar for aspirants seeking its presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections, pegging the cost of its nomination and expression of interest forms at ₦100 million.
According to the party’s timetable released on Monday and signed by National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Argungu, the presidential forms will cost ₦30 million for expression of interest and ₦70 million for nomination.
The party fixed April 25 to May 2, 2026, for the sale of forms at its National Secretariat, while submission of completed forms will close on May 4.
Presidential aspirants who meet the financial requirement will then proceed to screening scheduled between May 6 and May 8, with results to be released on May 11.

Appeals are slated for May 12 to May 13, ahead of the presidential primary election fixed for May 15 and 16.
Other categories also come with significant costs. Governorship aspirants are to pay ₦50 million, while forms for the Senate, House of Representatives, and State Houses of Assembly are priced at ₦20 million, ₦10 million, and ₦6 million respectively.
Primaries for these positions will follow shortly after the presidential exercise, with all party primaries expected to be concluded within eight days and appeals wrapped up by May 25.
Despite the high costs, the party announced concessions for female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities, who will only pay for expression of interest forms and 50 percent of the nomination fees.
The APC says the timetable aligns with its constitution, the Electoral Act, and guidelines set by the electoral commission.
