APC Chieftain Reveals Why Governor Uba Sani Deserves Re-election, Slams El-Rufai’s Legacy

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Seyi Olorunsola, has declared unwavering support for Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, expressing confidence that he will become the first governor in Nigeria to be re-elected in the 2027 gubernatorial elections.

In a statement issued to journalists on Friday, Olorunsola praised Governor Sani’s leadership since assuming office in May 2023, describing him as a transformational leader who has steered Kaduna State away from the brink of collapse.

“Governor Uba Sani came in when Kaduna was engulfed by insecurity and internal instability. Banditry, kidnappings, and recurring ethno-religious violence were pushing the state into chaos. In less than four years, Uba Sani has achieved what El-Rufai failed to do in eight years,” Olorunsola remarked.

The APC stalwart did not hold back in criticizing former governor Nasir El-Rufai, whose administration he labeled as “autocratic, insensitive, and marred by broken promises.” He accused El-Rufai of deepening religious divisions, marginalizing Christians, mismanaging public resources, and pursuing policies that alienated the masses.

“El-Rufai ran a one-man show,” Olorunsola stated. “His so-called land and urban renewal policies were nothing but politically motivated demolitions—carried out without compensation or consideration for affected citizens.”

In contrast, Olorunsola highlighted Governor Sani’s achievements, including the enactment of the Kaduna State Security Trust Fund Law, which he said has strengthened the state’s ability to tackle insecurity. He also praised Sani’s inclusive approach to governance and his efforts to rebuild trust among various ethnic and religious communities.

“It is on record that Governor Uba Sani launched over 60 road projects across Kaduna to ease movement and stimulate rural economies,” he noted. “His policies have created jobs and revived key sectors, while his engagement with traditional and religious leaders is healing old wounds.”

Olorunsola also pointed to improvements in agriculture and healthcare, especially in Southern Kaduna, which he said is now experiencing peace and intercommunal harmony “like never before.”

“Governor Sani is not just building roads and hospitals; he’s rebuilding the soul of Kaduna,” Olorunsola declared. “With his vision, humility, and commitment to the people, Kaduna is back on the right track.”

He concluded by asserting that Governor Sani’s rising political profile and strong performance make him the candidate to beat in 2027.

“Governor Uba Sani’s name will be written in gold in the history books of this state and Nigeria. He has earned the trust of the people, and 2027 will only affirm it,” Olorunsola said.
