Kwankwaso: A Political Scam Kano and APC Must Reject

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (RMK) has, time and again, proven himself to be a deceitful politician with no true loyalty to any cause other than his selfish ambitions. Today, he parades himself as the face of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), but in reality, he is nothing more than an oppressor within that party—using it as a mere decoy to advance his personal agenda while misleading gullible followers who have yet to understand the depth of his hypocrisy.

RMK needs to be reminded in very clear terms that the All Progressives Congress (APC), both in Kano State and across Nigeria, has risen far above his outdated gimmicks. The APC, under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, will never allow someone like Kwankwaso to bring stones and shafts to pollute the refined grains that the APC represents. If  RMK is so desperate for a political home, he should retrace his steps to the sinking ship of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)—a party he once helped wreck. Perhaps there, he can rejoin expired allies like Buba Galadima and continue playing puppeteer to his disciples, including the confused Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The people of Kano are far too politically conscious to fall for Kwankwaso’s hanky-panky. They have seen through the charade and now align themselves with progressive leaders who embody genuine service—leaders such as the Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senator Kawu Sumaila, and Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development. These leaders have boldly exposed the failures of the NNPP-led government in Kano, shattering the deceptive narratives that Kwankwaso and his cohorts feed to the public. Left embarrassed and stripped of credibility, RMK and his NNPP cronies are now desperately lobbying to worm their way into APC. But as Zebrudaya would comically put it, “this is fa, fa, foul!”—Kwankwaso’s political scam must be rejected in totality.

Let us not forget the destructive legacy of RMK in Kano. He bit the very fingers of the innocent people who once trusted him. At Kofar Mata and Wambai, livelihoods were destroyed under his directives. Families were thrown into anguish, some lost loved ones to shock and illness, others continue to battle high blood pressure and depression from the loss of their properties. Children died as a result of the dilapidated, unsafe structures left behind. This is the man who claims to be a leader—yet his record is soaked with the tears and pain of his own people. Kwankwaso is not a liberator; he is an enemy of the Kano people, a political parasite feeding off their hope while offering nothing but ruin in return.

The so-called “Kwankwasiyya” red cap movement is nothing but an occultist cult designed to enslave loyalists under the whims of one man’s ego. RMK’s desperation today is evident as both he and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, unsettled and stripped of relevance, scramble for a way back into APC after wrecking every platform they touched—the PDP yesterday, the NNPP today. Unfortunately for them, the APC has moved far beyond their backwardness.

The APC is not a dumping ground for failed politicians. It is a progressive movement powered by visionaries and united under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership. Kano APC is ready, strong, and determined to rescue the state from the clutches of Kwankwaso and his destructive cabal. The party is built on positivity and progression, not deception and oppression.

With the unrelenting support of Nigerians, APC is leading the charge to rebuild the nation. Under President Tinubu, Nigeria is moving towards prosperity, and there is no doubt that APC will retain power in 2027. In Kano, the people have seen the light. They are rallying around APC’s credible leaders and rejecting the political scam called Kwankwaso.

Kwankwaso belongs in the dustbin of political history. He should be retired, rejected, and relegated to irrelevance. Kano deserves better than his brand of deceitful politics. Nigeria deserves better. The APC will not allow enemies of progress to derail its mission. With God on our side and the support of the people, victory in 2027 is certain, and Kwankwaso’s chapter will be permanently closed.
