The Kano State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has announced the death of Mr. Ted Odogwu, a veteran journalist and long-serving correspondent with The Punch Newspapers.
In a statement issued on Monday, Chapel Chairman Alhaji Aminu Garko described Mr. Odogwu as a dedicated professional renowned for his exceptional reporting and steadfast commitment to journalistic integrity.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our brother and colleague, Mr. Ted Odogwu. His contributions to our union and the journalism profession will be greatly missed,” the statement read.

The Chapel extended heartfelt condolences to his family, The Punch, and the wider public who followed his impactful work throughout his career.
He is remembered not only as a respected journalist but also as a mentor and a pillar of the Kano press community, known for his ethical standards and in-depth reporting.
“May his legacy live on, and may his family find solace in the memories of his remarkable life and career. May his soul rest in peace. Amen,” the statement concluded.
Grassroots Parrots reports that Mr. Odogwu passed away on Monday in Lagos.
