President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the victims of the recent flood disaster and boat mishap in Zamfara State, pledging government support to aid those affected by the tragedies.
The President has also directed emergency response agencies to collaborate with the Zamfara State Government to ensure relief efforts reach the impacted communities.
The directive, made public through a statement issued on Sunday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, calls for a comprehensive assessment of both incidents to address the underlying causes.

In his message, President Tinubu commiserated with the people and government of Zamfara over the flood disaster in Gummi Local Government Area and the tragic deaths of over 40 farmers in a boat accident over the weekend.
The boat capsized while transporting the farmers to their fields, resulting in significant loss of life.
“He promised support for the victims,” the statement said. “The President directed emergency agencies to comprehensively assess the two incidents to address the root of the calamity.”
President Tinubu’s administration is working to ensure that relief and recovery efforts for the victims are swift and effective, expressing solidarity with the affected families and communities during this difficult time.
