The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 43-year-old woman, identified simply as Gift, for allegedly biting off the tip of her lover’s manhood during a violent altercation in the Mile 3 area of Diobu, Port Harcourt.
Grassroots Parrot reports that the incident occurred on Bishop Okoye Street—a densely populated neighborhood—and has sparked shock and outrage among residents after details of the gruesome encounter emerged.
According to eyewitness accounts, the dispute began when Gift’s partner, identified as Sunday, requested to engage in sexual activity. Gift reportedly refused, accusing him of using sexual enhancement drugs that resulted in excessively prolonged encounters.

A resident who witnessed the encounter but requested to remain anonymous said, “Mr. Sunday became angry and allegedly attacked the woman. In the scuffle, she managed to grab his manhood with her mouth and bit off the tip.”
Sunday’s screams for help drew the attention of neighbors, some of whom were reportedly enraged and attempted to retaliate against Gift before officers from the Nkpolu Police Division arrived at the scene. The intervention by police prevented further violence and led to the suspect’s arrest.
“The cap of the man’s penis was completely bitten off,” the witness added, describing the chaotic scene that followed.

Gift was taken into custody by officers led by the Divisional Police Officer, while Sunday was rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
Confirming the incident on Friday, May 16, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Superintendent of Police Grace Iringe-Koko, stated, “Yes, I can confirm the incident. The woman (suspect), aged 43 years, has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.”
