As Mai Martaba’s journey to the prestigious Oscars is gaining momentum, influential groups and enthusiasts of creative industries have continued to rally their support for the Kannywood’s most expensive movie.
Grassroots Parrot reports that the latest on the list of these highly regarded personalities are the First Ladies of Nigeria’s 36 states, who officially endorsed the campaign of Mai Martaba’s Oscars bid at the weekend.
The remarkable endorsement followed a productive meeting of the first ladies with Prince Daniel, the producer and director of the film, and his team.
The event hosted by Ambasador (Prof.) Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the First Lady of Kwara State and Chairperson of the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum (NGSF), was to raise the profile of Nigerian cinema on the global stage.
