Kano State Governor, Engr. Kabir Yusuf, on Monday, officially swore in Umar Farouk Ibrahim as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Ibrahim replaces Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, who was recently relieved of his duties due to health reasons.
The low-key swearing-in ceremony took place at the Governor’s Office, with the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi, administering the Oath of Office on Ibrahim.
Speaking at the event, Governor Yusuf commended the contributions of the outgoing SSG, Dr. Bichi, and extended his best wishes for a speedy recovery.
He also expressed confidence in Ibrahim’s capabilities, noting that his experience and expertise would be instrumental in advancing the government’s development agenda.

In his remarks, the newly appointed SSG, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, pledged to serve the state with dedication and to uphold the principles of good governance.

The appointment comes at a critical time for Kano State, as the government continues its drive towards infrastructural development, economic growth, and improved governance.
