The Kano State Government has dispatched 588 students to 15 northern states under the Students Exchange Programme, marking the beginning of the third term holiday for the 2024/2025 academic year.

This was disclosed in a statement by Balarabe Kiru, Director of Public Enlightenment at the Kano State Ministry of Education, on Thursday.

The students, made up of both male and female pupils, are being sent to various states participating in the long-standing exchange initiative, including Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Taraba, Yobe, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Gombe, Borno, Niger, Plateau, and Kwara.

Kano is one of 17 northern states involved in the programme, which is designed to promote national unity, strengthen inter-state relationships, and foster cultural integration among young learners.
